As the title says, am k supposed to adjust the roller rockers on my 331 with hydraulic roller lifters with the engine warmed up or cold? Thanks!

I figured cold was how to do it. I did mine warm, and it ran great when it warned up, but when I started it ticked loud for a few seconds then went away in a minute or so of running.

The thing is I adjusted them with the car warm, and I had a loud tick that lasted about 20 seconds then it went away, which I assumed was the lifter loading with oil, so I figured it's better to do with the engine cold so the it's adjusted with the lifters bled?

I've done both multiple times, multiple ways. My favorite is cold because hot burns the ever living crap out of your fingers. Also I like to go cylinder to cylinder adjusting the intake then the exhaust. Some mandate that you need to adjust opposing cylinders based on the firing order but I can't say that ever made much of a difference. Also I go a half turn past zero lash.
