Yesterday, my brother, 12 years old, was helping me on the stang. So, I got finished cleaning the engine a little, and he grabs the hood and slams it shut....so he thought. He didn't know that you had to pull the lever over for the hood to latch. Hehe. The hood now is kinda popped up in the back. I didn't get mad, since it needed to be replaced anyways. Just thought it was kinda funny. You should've seen the look on his face. He's always afraid he's going to do something wrong, and he knows how much I love the car, so he never wants to help me in fear he might make a mistake. I told him it was ok, and he could still help me, if he bought me a new hood. *G* Just kidding. Another candidate for the Doofus Award!(seriously, he really is a big help to me)

Well at 12 years old you have to give him some slack, You should encourage him to help and maybe he could get a stang when He's Old enough to drive....

My younger brother was helping me work on my old Accord a few years back, He was pumping the brakes while I bled them, I asked him to top off the master cylinder so it wouldn't run dry.
Well when it ran dry a few pumps later I became......"concerned".
Well I asked him where he put the fluid he pointed to the Power steering pump.......This was partly my fault because I told him to fill the one with the black cap. Yeah, they both had black caps.
To make a long story long I had to start all over bleeding the brakes(which I hate to do in the first place). About two weeks later the Rack-n-pinion started shooting fluid out the boots. I had flushed the brake fluid out but I guess there was just enough in there to eat the rubber seals away.
Well 180 bucks for a new rack and 12 hours(hondas suck to work on) of laying on my back installing it, all was good. I wasn't really pissed at him because he helps me out alot when I need an extra hand.

Yeah, I told him it was ok. I am trying to work with him on getting a Stang when he gets a car...but....he wants an old Chevelle or Camaro. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif But, whatever he wants is up to him. He also likes the 92/93 Mustang hatchbacks.
