Okay, i bought a door skin for my drivers side door, what exactley is the difference between that, and the whole door asembley? Will this door skin require me to remove the external sheet metal from the door, and replace it with what i have? or will it just go on OVER the existing door? I have tried, and it looks like it will require me to remove the entire sheet metal and replace it with what I have.... is this correct?

Thanks,

I would take off the orignal door skin because if you put 2 pieces of sheetmetal on top of each other then water can just get in there and rust the whole thing out. The skin is different because is exactly that, the skin of the door. The whole door includes the jambs, the skins, and the whole interior part

Yep... off with the old and on with the new!!!
Don't forget to repair any residual rust inside the door panel before putting the new skin on!

Boss351,
There are a few different ways to remove the old skin. You might want to send out a request regarding this. I'm not an expert on this so I will not try to be one.
Good luck with the project.
