We're looking for recommendations on returning the door glass fitment/alignment/operational smoothness to near original. Short of replacing the regulators, both glass guides, weatherstrip seals with new, are there any tricks to getting these loosy/goosy, rocky/rolly windows to fit and operate nicely?

Anything to replace/refurbish the moleskin inside the rear glass guide? How about new packing for the front glass guide? Rebuild of the guide at the bottom of the glass, which rides inside the front glass guide? Are the regulators supposed to "friction lock" in position, when torque is released, up, down or somewhere in between? These things are so loose/worn that the glass can be manually pushed downward into the door, spinning the
regulator/handle backwards with little resistance.

Any/all suggestions appreciated. I'll dance at your wedding.
