I'd think it'd be a matter of starting with something like the item below, cutting the dash to fit, and blending it in, whether you want to try and place it "proud" to the dash and fill the sides to match the contour or recess the plate and fill the sides AND the top.

Before you mutilate yet another classic Mustang dash...why do you want a touchscreen?

A lot of our dashes are already mutilated by pimple faced 17yr olds who wanted the latest fancy cassette deck.

Mine looks an ape with a chisel went at it.

Thats a very clean console to be homemade, thanks for the info.

Plus the radio area looks very sanitary.
