I know this topic has been discussed a number of times on the forum, but I have conducted a search and only found vague methods for measuring the driveshaft. Would someone please describe to me in the simplest of terms how to go about measuring for driveshaft length (I am shortening the drive shaft). From what I have read, it seems easiest to slide the yoke into the transmission until it bottoms out. From what points should I measure to determine drive shaft length? I was told by someone to measure from the end of the yoke to the center point on the rear end and subtract an inch. This is still very vague to me. Any details or info anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
