Hi all !

Anyone have info how long is '66 289 Mustang driveshaft with T10 transmission and 8" rear? I need to order new but can't get to car to measure length. I think it is 50-51" inches, does that one inch difference matter?

Thanks !

Regards,

Ari

Thank you coupster, helped a lot. I think mine has that 50-25/32” long. Going to measure it for sure when I get to car.

Approximately 50.50”, I think it’s closer to 50.25”. I’m running a aluminum driveshaft out of a 94 V6 2WD Explorer. Just about a perfect fit and it uses 1310 universal joints. I know you’re in Finland but this may help you looking for driveshaft out of another vehicle. I believe there was a Isuzu truck driveshaft that fit as well. If you’re not aware they make combination universal joints to adapt 2 different yoke sizes. Happy hunting

Factory length on the 66 289/ 4speed driveshaft was 50 25/32". Has those tiny little 1260 series U-joints. If you're having one made and plan on any type of performance driving, I'd upgrade to 1310 joints.
