I've got a 66 289 that keeps blowing the spark plug wires off. I can drive 4 or 5 miles and it starts driving rough. Pop the hood and two or three wires have come off. I read an earlier post where someone said to stick a tooth pick down in the boot and it will release any air build up inside. this doesnt to work for me. I just replaced the wires a few weeks ago thinking that was the problem but their doing the same thing. The wires are tight on the plug so its not vibration. Any other suggestions? TIA

Use the "toothpick tool" but also add some silicone dielectric grease to the inside of the boots.
