Getting ready to drop this 200ci into the mustang. The manual transmission is already in the car. Any tips on getting this engine in? Without taking tranny out and sending down in one unit?

Don't drop it. Slide it in easily and line it up with the transmission. Could take some jiggling to get the trans and engine to mate. With a 6 there is plenty of room to work.

It might be easier to loosen the tranny up to get the shaft in.

Pull the tranny, bolt it to the engine and send it home. Less time dorking around under the car. Three speeds don't weigh anything anyway.

I agree, I think it's much easier to bolt engine and transmission together on the floor, when you're not laying on your back, with crap falling in your face, contorted, and you need a different sized socket so you need to crawl out and get one, and oops! that one wasn't the right size either so crawl back out and grab another, and then you need an extension, so back out you go. And then they're just not quite going together but it's hard to see why....
