Bolt right on. You will need the proper bolts/special washers because the holes are designed to also work on the 351W which has 1/2" bolts.

If your camshaft profile is stock, they will bolt on without any flycutting of the pistons

The Performer's will be a direct replacement in most applications...you should check the VPC if installing Perf RPM's due to the size of the valves...

As mentioned, when deviating from the stock cam profile, it is always prudent to check the VPC....

You can run hard washers under new head bolts or use the special head bolt kit made for putting the W heads and aluminum heads on the 289/302...of course, studs work great too....

I would also advise purchasing hardened pushrods....the factory ones work fine against the cast iron slots in your early heads but I've had problems with them running against hardened steel guide plates.
