Is anyone using the Edlebrock RPM (heads and/or intake and cam) setup on your vintage stang? If so what kinds of improvements did you get and how do you like the set up?

Heads and Intake on W in race car....good fit and finish...run them out of the box with no mods...

Consistent and reliable...purpose-built engine so I have no comparitive sampling.

If the quality is still there like it was 6 years ago when I bought mine, I'd give a thumbs-up...

I used the edelbrock total power package, but modified it by going with the performer cam, performer rpm intake and the smaller valve version of the heads, the under 2.02 intake size. Also had the Edelbrock carb. Ran this for about 3 months, then tore the car down. The improvement was noticeable, but not a kick in the seat of the pants. I felt the cam and carb were holding back performance. So, I have now upgraded to a Holley carb and performer rpm cam. Car's not running yet so I cannot report on that improvement.

sure it's fun, but it's only a car.

That's what I put on the 390 on my fastback along with the Edelbrock 750 carb. We've only done the engine run-in so far, but what a kick in the pants engine sound it produced. Once the cam broke in, it was very smooth and you could just hear the power. It won't be on the road for about a year, however.

I love it when a plan comes together!

Thanks for the replies, I just Installed the RPM air Gap intake ofer the weekend on my 66. I also have the RPM heads. Next project is to dial in the Holley 650 and get the car to the track for testing. So far the combo feels very stong and sound great.
