With a bit of talk lately on using a bolt-on EFI solution, I have a slightly different question.

I have an inlet manifold with 8 x ITB's on it. I got this about 10 years ago and was researching ECU's back then. The most popular choice back then seemed to be the MegaSquirt.

I am an electronics/software engineer, so any complexity with wiring and using a laptop for tuning will be fine. But I am just not up on the latest ECU choices for a DIY EFI system. I want to go distributorless and I am happy with batch injection and I do not have to have sequential injection.

What are the current choices out there or is the MegaSquirt still a good choice?

Jeremy.

Megasquirt has come a long way over the years and there is a good chance a Microsquirt might even be a good choice for you. Lots of forum support for those which is always a bonus!

There are a few now that are right up there! Haltech and AEM would be my go to. Micro tech from Aus is whats on my other car, although that system is a good decade old...
