Why not go with a resistive element like this one from JC Whitney.

Yay an in-car hair dryer, just what SWMBO needs. Is it just me or is that thing pretty cheesy looking?
There was a dealer accessory rear "defroster" for 67-8 coupes. The only one I ever got a chance to look at (at a swap meet) appeared to just be a fan in a box. It may not have been complete. Perhaps other VMF's know more.
67-8 coupes have a big oval-shaped hole in the center of the package tray where this thing fits. If 65-6's have the same hole you might be able to adapt one.
