We have two Mustangs with the same problem. A 66 with original Rally-Pak, 1990 5-litre engine with stock Ford electronic ignition. A 69 Mach with built in tach, older 302 converted to stock Ford electronic ignition.
In both cases the tach won't work. The needles go up to 1500 rpm, then drop off! Help!

It would seem that electronic ignition shouldn't impact tach operation. My tach wire runs to the coil. It has worked with a Pertronix and hopefully will work with a Mallory I'll be installing shortly. Where is the green tach wire attached on your motor?

65 FB "J" 302 lots of mods. 94 GT K&N only.
