What is your opinion about the electronic ignitions they have out? My son has a 72 Mach I. He wanted to hear what you guys had to say about them....

Most of the people here are running electronic ignitions. You'll hear nothing but praise for the petronix units. They are affordable and reliable. I'm running a Mallory setup, so I've never installed one, but I've heard that they are easy to install.

I'm running a Comp 9000, which is a unilite, a hyfire VII unit, and the mallory coil. I've had no problems with cold starts. It's been a long time ago when I replaced my point, so I can't say its better. Just that it starts good now when cold.

I switched from points to Pertronix & Love it. No more burn't points. Well worth the $60 from NPD.

Duraspark ignition with MSD-6AL and MSD coil. Excellent cold starting, which is almost all of them.
