I put a t5 and a JBA 2 1/2” H-pipe on my 66 coupe. I am now working on getting the parking brake hooked backed up but noticing that the standard set up will not fit with the h pipe crossover. Not sure if this is a common issue for the aftermarket exhaust guys but wanted to check. Any advice is appreciated.

I have the same setup in my '66 Fastback. IIRC, I had to slightly tweak the parking brake equalizer lever to clear the H-pipe section, but it was just to prevent it from rattling, not because it was a mile off!

Thank you. I will see if I can adjust enough to make it fit. I think it may be far off though. Maybe I tucked the H-pipe up too tight to the body?? I just hate seeing the exhaust hang down if I can avoid it.

I'm running JBA headers which sets up the height of the H-pipe section. You can see where my exhaust ended up through that critical area.

This is very helpful. Thank you. I am also running the matching JBA headers. I will get under it tonight and see what tweaks I can make.

I just edited the post to flip the image. Sorry. The lever should pass over the top of the tube.

Do you guys have any problems with the cables rubbing the driveshaft? With my T5 the cables will rub on the driveshaft unless I secure them to the frame closer to the linkage.

Look at the Mustang Steve Ebrake setup picture. It appears if you use the original mount points it "should" follow the original cable path.

I had a similar problem with my AOD with LBA long tube headers and Magnaflow exhaust. I solved it by bending the parking brake arm to ensure it cleared the exhaust and the driveshaft. You can see it in the pics.

I use the Modern Driveline crossmember pictured below. It locates the lever in a position the enables the parking brake cables to clear the driveshaft. It is possible that the pivot point on your crossmember is causing all these clearance issues.

I tried to use the JBA H pipe with their headers. It ended up not clearing the T5 cross member from Modern Driveline. I ended up having to modify it to work. If I recall correctly the parking brake equalizer did contact it as well. I retained the down pipes from the headers and completely re-made the H pipe.

I had a similar problem and made tubes for the brake cables to ride in above the mufflers.
