I am putting together my "to do" list for 2003. I plan to have my original 72 302 engine pulled so I can have new aprons installed and the firewall cleaned up. Can some give me an estimate / range of what this _should_ cost? I will also check the shock towers. Anything else I should do while engine is out? I don't think this can easily be done with engine in (?).

You could change the front aprons without removing the engine but more means taking out the engine. You can always do a better job with less hassle when the engine is not in the way. I recommend you pull the engine and trans and transport your car to the body shop as required. You'll get better workmanship and it won't cost any more in the long run.
