i was looking over my 70 mustang and noticed that there is no lower engine crossmember so i looked around the net at different pics some had and some did'nt.my question is should i be worried or not and if i need to get one what if any years interchange? i've been driving it like this for awhile. thanks for any help. mark

Seems like someone removed it to make it easier to drop the oil pan. Yes, you need one. The rigidity is important for the integrity of the engine bay. I have the one I took out of the 65FB, to replace with a steering rack. If I can find it, I'll measure it's length and bolt hole to bolt hole distance and you can figure out if it will work for your car. If so, $30 and it's yours. It's all cleaned up and painted.
