Well I finally got around to uploading some of my pictures of the engine being installed a few weekends ago. Here are a few. I was really suprised how easy it went in. I just wish everything on the car went together this easy. The key now is, will it run ;) I got the electrical hooked up and the starter turns the engine over, so at least I got that going for me. Exhaust, radiator and carb, then I will fire her up. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks for the feedback. Always fun to show progress. Well I went back and dug up the before picture to show where it came from. I will make sure I post more pics when I get all the goodies added on.

You Small Block guys have it easy in this department. When I installed my 390 it was a major pain in the you know what. Specially with the long tube headers.. Man I don't wantto ever have to do that again :p

Before and after is very inspiring....I should get off my duff and work on mine....about half way there (still stripping engine compartment paint). How long between your Before and After?

Great job - I hope you are running soon!

Looks great! Having gone through this in the Spring, I know how great it is to realize the fruits of your own effort. Now don't be afraid to drive it!

That looks really nice!

I see you had the upper control arm holes - Did you replace the towers or just repair the holes? I'd love to get rid of mine.

Yeah, I did have the upper control arm holes. I patched them, wasn't really hard. Cut them out to be smooth around the edges, picked up some flat steel that was the same guage and welded them into place. A little elbow grease on grinding down the welds and a little bit of filler and they came out great.
