I pulled the engine and tranny as a whole this morning. Still took longer than I thought; sure glad my boy helped, as he had a oil pan to collect "residual" tranny fluid...to the tune of about 1.5 qts!!!

Just anothe dozen or so parts to pull off and the unibody will be stripped bare! Just in time to start cleaning and prepping for paint!

Hurray!!!!!!!!!!!!!/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Glad to see another one join the jackstand race! I did that to Midlife on Memorial Day, and I'm still prepping things up for the "real work". Sometime about 2005 it should be back on the road. Maybe....

I'm afraid of having an earthquake JUST before I put wheels back on, ruining all the sand blocking work and undercoat prep!!

Ah, the worries of a Californian!
