Well I never thought I'd get the engine in, but it's in there. First, a quick history. The engine is a "street boss" engine that I built out of a '89 302 block. The transmission is a '91 AOD out of a Mustang GT. The car is a '67 with the orginal '67 engine mounts.

Here's the problem. After I get the engine/tranny in, things seemed a little off like the engine/tranny need to come forward about an 1".

I know that the engine mounts were specific for '67. If I were to use'68 engine mounts or one set of the
"universal" mounts would that bring the engine forward or backward? I thought the other mounts caused the engine/tranny combo to mount farther forward in the engine bay. If this is true it would solve one of my other problems. The Windsor-fox crossmember looks to be setting about 1" back to far.

So, am I on the right track with this, or I'm I totally off?

Thanks.
