Can someone please tell me what the proper tape is for the wiring in the engine bay? I wasn't sure if it is friction tape or just regular electrical tape.

Thanks

IIRC, NDP sells the correct type tape.

Edit: The tape I've seen advertised (NPD?)is the corrrect non-stick type.

as Cobra6 said, it is not regular electrical tape. The proper tape has no adhesive on it, it is just wrapped around the wiring harness and at the end a differnt tape is put to hold the tape from unravelling

You might also consider using a wiring loom after you get it all taped up. It makes for a much neater appearance.

Eastwoods sells a Vinyl tape (PN 25000) that is stated in their catalogue to be what was used on '60s & '80s cars and a cloth harness tape (PN 25063) supposedly used for harness wrap (like from battery area, under battery and across front) up to mid '60s cars. i used vinyl stuff and it is not really sticky but ends get loose if moved much.
