I recently scored a set of hinges with the torsion rod and got it installed today. I drew a crude picture of it, the one I have has that red piece/bottome stop and the original didn't. That red piece of metal is preventing my trunk lid from closing all the way. Is this a 66 hinge? I spent alot time tweaking this and adjusting that to get the lid where it closes ok. Then after I installed the torsion rod I discoverd this problem. Nuts. I could tilt the hinge base down and that would probably do it and try re-aligning everything again. Any suggestions before I pursade that bottom stop out of the way? TIA.
The arm looking piece connects to torsion rod, I left the part of the hinge that connects to the trunk lid out.
