Im installing new header gaskets Fel-Pro super seal(or something like that) Cost quite a bit so I dont want to screw them up. Does the meat of the gasket go toward the header or the block? Does it matter? Its been a long time since Ive had fun like this! My kunckles skinned, fingers ripped up, and I love it! I really missed this this stuff.
Thanks for any and all help.

Picture please?? Just love those Pro Streeters....*G*

The only exhaust gaskets I've ever installed in a certain direction have been the OEM style ones with the metal on one side....I always put the metal against the head since I figured it was easier and cleaner to scrape the gasket off the manifold/header than the head...

Racing stuff....when I did use gaskets, I don't recall it mattering...after discovering red RTV, the gaskets went in the trash...*G*
I went back to using them my last season because the headers had gotten old and heat warped and the RTV just wouldn't seal them anymore....
