They go on top of the aprons hence why they are wider than them.

Also they are actually a very structural piece so make sure the aprons are not too high or drooping. If you take them off of a car then lift the car the nose will dip down. You might be surprised how much movement you can get at that spot without them connected...

Well I didn’t weld them in just yet but they do fit better underneath...Can some one post a pic please..Thanks

I do know mine came from the factory on top:



you can see in this picture the line left from the rust between the two panels...and the remainder of the spot welds.
