I'm about to rebuild my rear axle/housing and need a little help on the finish, please. I have an article from MM published in 1997, where Bob Perkins shows how a 1965-66 8 inch looked from the factory. The pics in the article shows the pumpkin being red oxide and the rest semi-gloss black. Anyone know, if a -67 9 inch looked the same as the 1965-66 8 inch did? I have a Equa-Lock Differential, if that matters.

Thanks.

Yes, the colors, machine marks, etc., will be identical.

A "HOW TO" for 9 inch is featured in the December 1992 issue of Mustang Monthly. Jerry Heasley penned the words with photos taken at Perkins Restoration. You will find all of the detail you need for your project in this article.

Thanks guys.

Is the 1992 MM article available online somewhere, or do I need the magazine, to read the article?
