Charles, yes, I was speaking of the firewall pad. One of type different types of metal pins? Do you have any pics of these? I've never seen one...they were all missing when i got the car...over time the pad must have stuck in place, since there were no pins holding it in.

I suppose the metal pins aren't reproduced, eh?

The first type has one side with "teeth" down the length of the clip. The other has 2 tabs at the base which are spread out to "click" into place once through the metal far enough.

Hopefully someone will post some pics.

All I could find on late San Jose cars (may have missed a couple of locations) were the tubular metal style

Hope this helps
