I am trying to document all the holes in a 66 coupe firewall. Using the Assembly manuals & pictures I believe I have figured almost all of them out but I still have a couple questions.

Here is the pic of the Firewall with the holes marked.

Here is the index

1. Firewall Pad retaining clips (7)
2. Pedal Support/Brake Master Cylinder mounting (4)
3. Parking brake handle (2)
4. Heater Mounting Bolts (4)
5. Heater opening cover plate (4)
6. Heater Motor
7. Heater hoses (2)
8. Brake line mounting clip (2)
9. 6 cyl Accelerator pedal brackets (4)
10. 8 cyl Accelerator Bracket (3)
11. Electrical Harness retainer clips (2)
12. Speedometer Cable Grommet (3 Spd & C4)
13. Parking Brake Cable mounting bracket
14. Parking brake able Grommet
15. Manual Choke cable Grommet (6 Cyl)
16. Brake Master Cylinder
17. Clutch Rod
18. Steering Column
19. Steering Column Seal (3)
20. Speedometer Cable grommet (4 speed Trans 8 Cyl) Dimple in floor & in assembly manuals (1966)
21. Speedometer Cable grommet (4 speed Dagenham Trans 6 Cyl)
22. Speedometer Cable clip (4 Speed Trans)
23. Automatic Transmission Wiring Grommet (Neutral Safety Switch & Backup lights)
24. Air Conditioning Wiring Grommet
25. Windshield Washer Grommet
26. Speedometer Cable Clip (6 cyl Manual Trans)
27. Power Top Wiring
28. Pedal Support Retaining Screw
29. Alternate Speedometer Cable grommet (4 speed Trans 8 Cyl) found on some cars (1965)
30. Main Engine & Power Wiring Harness
31. Grounding Screw
32. Headlight Wiring Harness
33. A/C Hoses
34. A/C Hose cover screws (2)
35. Screw for Manual Transmission Back up switch & Console Wiring retainer
36. Clutch Spring Attachment
37. Neutral Safety Switch & Backup lights Harness retainer clip
38. Accelerator Pedal Grommet
39. Unknown Clip
40. Unknown hole

Questions:

1. What is the clip marked at 39? It is shown in the Assembly manual, but I can't find any pics of it.

2. Is hole 40 supposed to be there? I believe it may have been drilled by the previous owner of my car for the Pertronics wire.

3. What plug is used to fill the hole at number 36 when you don't have a manual Trans?

4. Does anyone have a pic of #26?

Caper you are most welcome, took me most of a day to track it all down, but I figured it would help a lot of folks.

Found this in Mustang Monthly.
A helpful resource, but it has a number of errors and incomplete data. It did help verify some of my assumptions though.

I think I saved it and I believe this is it. Also have another pic from outside of firewall.
