Wow this turned out better than I hoped. ::
The battery still had enough juice to work the dome light.

NO, it looks like the same color pink as the mustang came in. My dad dated a girl in highschool with one of those cars. She Lived in Staunton Illinoi. He has pictures of the car and thats the same color.

Actually, the underside of the hood appears to be Eastertime Coral, a special order color for the 68. There would be no paint code for this car, as special order colors weren't stamped on the data plate. Top

Several years ago, Gelsi's Mustang, somewhere in New England, got a 68 Cv that color. It all checked out and was authentic. Nice optioned car, it was in one of the Mustang Mags that are no longer. Something like Lime Green, either you like it or you don't. Looks like a pretty decent car.
IIRC Gelsi's Mustang is in South Jersey.

It definitely is original color. Was special order color
because of no color on plate and six digit DSO. What is
this Eastertime Coral?

The color is most likely "Passionate Pink" Check the PM I sent to see if your VIN is near the others I've seen. If you can find a build sheet or underhood data tag, it might have the actual paint code listed.

It seems the cars were built in batches, so research to see if your VIN is near the other Passionate Pink cars or more similar to the Eastertime Coral models.

Are those genuine pink fuzzy seat covers???
