Where does the switch for the 4-way flasher switch mount? IIRC it is in the glove box, but none of the existing holes line up. (The switch was on the floor when I got the car) Does it mount onto the cardboard box?

Thanks

There are two styles, depending upon the date in 1966. The cut-off date is March 15, IIRC. For the early model, there's a metal backing plate that goes on top of the cardboard glove box, and the switch assembly bolts through the glove box into the backing plate.

Thanks, I was wondering what the flat piece of metal on the floor was..... (It's in it's own baggie labelled "unknown")

I've had that plate in the ash tray for 9 years without a clue what it was for... good thing I didn't throw it away ;)
