Just an idea for my 67 coupe. What about doing a flipnose fiberglass front end? Pros? Cons? Tell you all think about it.

Unless you are going to remove all the inner fenders I wouldn't bother...I can't really think of any pro's to this other than you won't scratch the fenders when working on the engine?

Here's an alternative I used. With a little more fab, it could've had inner fenderwells but I didn't need them for the class and it didn't make that much difference aerodynamically at the speeds I was running..

Main plus was ease of drivetrain maintenance. As a composite piece, I doubt it was much lighter than an OEM front end, but perhaps a little. All the parts are fiberglass, except for the front grill assembly.

Bear in mind this was designed and built 28 years ago, so the styles and construction methods reflect the period.

That looks awesome! My two concerns about putting the full piece front on are I dont plan on modifying the frame or cut out the fender wells. And I dont want to cut out the cowl. So I wonder if installation is even possible with the fender wells and radiator support still in place.

Is this going to be a drag car? If you are using it on the street I wouldn't consider it. Also, is the front end smashed and that is why you are thinking about putting on the flip one?

I agree with Stan. There's really no compelling reason to go to the trouble since the benefits are so minimal to non-existant on the street.

No its not going to be strictly a drag car. Im putting a 410 stroker in it. The front end is actually in really good shape. Im going to be skinnin the car and am just weighing out my options. I wanted the tilt frontend mainly for the novelty asspect, but in doing further research I think Im just going to replace with steel panels.
