I'm trying to improve my 289's cooling abilities. In the Summit catalog, they sell a Flow Kooler water pump conversion disc, which is supposed to increase your coolant flow by 60%. It looks to be just a metal disc, you pop-rivet to the back of your stock pump's impeller. Has anyone heard of or used this? Thanks!

Don't know about the disk. I'm running a Flowkooler on my
302. Why not just buy the whole pump?

65 FB "J" 302 lots of mods. 94 GT K&N only.

It is just a metal disk, but anything that will improve a stock impeller is good.

It is just a galvanized steel disk and two pop rivets in a plastic bag. I have one at the house, but I changed over to a Ford Motorsport waterpump and it has a different impeller design that does not require the Flow Kooler plate.
