A friend of mine is purchasing a new flywheel for his `65 FB and was asked if he needed the 28oz or the 50oz flywheel. He is running a `65 289 with the stock original damper. thanks in advance.

28 oz...50 oz is for the later mustangs.

50oz 302 flywheel/flexplates were first used in '81.
