Those of you who have a 289/302 with a T5 and the JMC hydraulic linkage, what clutch set have you had good success with? The 5.0 guys on another board give good reviews of SPEC clutches, and mixed reviews of other brands there seems to be issues of bad throwout bearings. I installed a centerforce dual friction on mine, I just found out I used the wrong one, I should have used the late model type but I put the early model type on , it never hooked up good and its been slipping for a while , its dangerous merging onto the freeway. So i need a good set that wont slip or give me chattering problems.
Thanks

You can get the "King Cobra" late model clutch. Good clamping and reasonable prices.

You MUST use a diaphram-type clutch with this combination.

My clutch was built for me by Superior Friction in San Jose, CA. It uses a kevlar/kevlar disc and is fantastic. Smooth and strong with no grab anywhere.
