Fired her up for the first time about an hour ago...... I am very happy. Thank you very much to everyone on the forum who's helped me get this far with it :grin2: I've got a long way to go (still have to set the idle and time it, among other things) but I'm pretty happy right now. I'm not very photo-genic, so you'll have to excuse the smiling idiot expression in the second video

Very nice. I'm getting a kick out of the cameraman hiding behind the hood in case something explodes.

Way to go. Another one lives to see it's full potential.

Thanks fellas :grin2:

Target- that'd be my wife, who I probably didn't fill full of a lot of confidence when I asked her to grab the fire extinguisher out of the kitchen beforehand, just in case..... >:)

Haha! That's standard procedure whenever I change something on my motor. Grab the fire extinguisher from underneath the sink and cross my fingers.

My wife has the phone ready to call 911, and of course the fire extinguisher. :grin2:

Advanced the timing a little (was set right at TDC) got it firing up a lot nicer. Has the thumper cam, so the idle is a little lopey. Next thing I really need to do is hook up a tach, and get the timing dialed in just right.

Love the oil pressure gauge under the wiper! I started mine up after an engine swap with the gauge hanging inside the vent window.
