I need to repaint my shaker base and front half of engine on a 1970 428 , what is the best brand and source for this spray paint?

Duplicolor is pretty good...

Dupli-color works well. Around $6.00 a can at Autozone here in CO.

I also agree on Dupli-Color, it has a better spray nozzle than Krylon.

Previous posts on this topic recommended Plasti-Kote #224. This stuff is getting very hard to find, as it seems all the auto parts stores except CarQuest now carry only Duplicolor. If you can find a CarQuest, I recommend the Plasti-Kote because it goes on really nice.

I use rustoleum royal blue for the darker ford blue---I have found no one that can tell it from ford yet,I never liked plasticote---just my personal preferance---I think the rustoleum lays down smoother

Plastikote is the closest to original out of a spray can but Duplicolor is close enough.
