Anyone know the Fram part number for the correct size air filter to fit a 66 HiPo open element? The filters I've been using are the correct height, but are at least an inch (maybe 2) too small in diameter and it's ALWAYS bugged me.

The best looking and fitting is the repro of the original B7SZ-A, has the correct height, and inside and outside diameter, and the round hole punched screen. Runs about $15.

Fram doesn't flow worth a darn and the last time I looked they didn't make
a filter element that fit decently.
The K&N E-1650 is a 3" tall element that fits the 65-67 hipo air cleaner
setup perfectly and will not hit the underneath of the hood (65/66 Shelby
intake/carb).
The K&N E-3740 is a 2 1/4" tall element that is almost the exact same
height as the original Autolite filter and is also an exact fit for diameter.

I wouldn't buy anything from Fram. Don't use their oil filter.

I like the look of the repop filter. Who makes it?

What about a WIX filter?

I'll pass on anything made by KN. I have used their stuff before on a few different vehicles and don't care for it at all.
