How do you remove the front spring eye bushings to install urethane bushings in their place? Can they just be pried out or do you have to have a press?

I removed mine to install the Global west kit using threaded rod, a stack of large washers, and some angle iron. I took a couple of my Craftsman chisels and used them to pry open the spring where it wrapped around the bushing. It really was not all that difficult.

i did it to both springs when i installed my aluminum bushings for the caltracs while on the car. I used a 3/8 drill bit a center punch and hammer. I drilled out the rubber bushing with a bunch of holes and then beat it out. I didnt even use a press to install the aluminum bushings.

I used a large socket and a large hammer. But my springs were new Maier Racing springs so the bushings were not rusted in. They came out pretty easily.

You can do it with a hacksaw. Cut from the inside out. When you are almost through the outer sleeve you can take a chisel and peel it out.

When you are 17 and have no presses or pullers this is how you do things.
