How are the two butterfly(?) clips removed on the fuel line? A removal procedure is not listed in the shop manual. Twistf? Pull? Pry? Suggestions? TIA.

The clips that hold the hard fuel line to the body of the car can be pryed out with a screwdriver, but quite often they will break.

I replaced mine and there is a trick to getting them out. If you look closer at the clips, they appear to be two solid metal roll next to each other. Slip a standard screw driver between the rolls and twist until the two rolls separate. Now, open them (space between the rolls) maximally...as you do this the clips are disengaging on the inside. Afer you take one out and study it you will appreciate how to replace them. Just push it in again and use pliers to crimp the rolls togethere again.

ps. use some silacone and just smeear it all around the hole/clips to weather proof it.
