I just ordered a new fuel pump for my 67's 6 cylinder. Is the installation as easy as taking the old one off and screwing in a new one? Are there any tricks or traps to be aware of? Thanks for any help.
It is actually that simple. Just be sure that the arm goes in wihtout binding and that it's contacting the right side of the cam( I have seen people put the arm over the top of the cam before). There may be a little tension against the arm if the cam lobe is up, but don't worry about it, start your bolts straight and you should have no problems. Also, I like to put a little grease on the contact point of the arm to avoid a dry start.
