I have a '68 302.
The fuel pump is not working.
Local parts store only have jobber fuel pumps.
My car came with a Carter 4567.
However, a friend has a Carter 4193 from a '67 289.

Can I use the Carter 4193 for my car?
What is the difference between the two fuel pumps?

Jump on the dennis carpenter web site...it takes a few minutes to down load but he has a complete online catelog with OEM part numbers listing for each year....then you can compare the 67 to 68

Federal-Mogul makes Carter branded fuel pumps. As far as I know, the early pumps are still manufactured. Try NPD or CJ Pony Parts for the pump you need.

Any machnical fuel pump that fits and runs off the cam and produces around 8 PSI should work. Thus any small block Ford pump that is designed to work with 289/302/351W should do the job.
