Just curious, what kind of gas do you guys put in your car?? (So Cal). Cheveron, Mobile, Shell, Arco??? I always put in 92, but was wondering everyones opinion on the best!! Thanks!!

I always use Chevron 94 octane in my 68 GT500 /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

i use 87 octane...here in TX, the elevation is pretty low, so you can get by with using a lower octane gas and not have ping or detonation.

93 here in Michigan in my '66 289 coupe. I couldn't believe the difference it made, even after I had hardened valve seats installed. Kindof stinks, though, that I'm not paying $1.89/gallon.

'66 signal flare red coupe with styled steel wheels
289 4bbl. w/ power steering, brakes, and A/C
White interior with a bench seat, deluxe seatbelt option, and an extra seatbelt in the back for my three kids . . .

i choose the corner with the cheepest price and run the cheap grade. I tried the good stuff and the motor didn't even notice. I got a stock 289-2v

I always use 92 octane from the same 76 station as much as possible. I'm running close to 10:1 compression and mine likes the 92. If it's not 92, I can tell in the first 20 feet.

65 FB "J" 302 lots of mods. 94 GT K&N only.
