Well I pulled a dufus last week. In my hurrry to get my 70 Mach 1 ready for the Woodward cruise I ruined a set of Ford decklid stripes. The ones that go on the back of the trunk and incircle the MACH 1 letters. Well no big deal NPD repo right. Well I gat a set and put them on and they are glossy black. Now the NOS Ford ones were Semi-flat black and matched the painted on hood stripes perfectly. First off why the difference and second who has the Flat version?
Argh.. Nothing is simple with this car.

I got mine from Scott Drake and they look perfect. They match the hood stripe to a tee and fit great.

FYI, my first Mach back in the 70's had glossy black stripes on the trunk, straight from the factory.

I had mine painted on with the same semi-flat paint as the hood stripes. I also left a slight tape edge so you would swear they are the decals. BTW, I can relate to "nothing simple with this car"; been there, still doing that... Good luck
