It would have been a lot easier to raise the top and drive a new car under it!

It's going to cost a whole lot more than it's worth by the time it's finished, but the experience with his kids will be priceless........... makes sense to me.

I wonder how much trouble you'd get into if you welded the front aprons with the VIN to a Coupe floor pan and then salvage the convertible's windshield pillars and interior bracing? At what point does a rebuilt 'Stang become a whole new car (Irish hammer analogy)?
