I was introduced to Pat Shelby (Carol's son) through a good friend and was invited to see his personal collection.

Cobras and Mustangs

What a collection!!! I was like a kid in a candy store, only I couldn't take anything home with me. Pat is a great guy and was very friendly. We didn't get to start any of the cars, but he pulled the car covers off the cars and he told the story of each one.

Wow ! What a treat ! So is Pat a car guy, or is he going to sell you all those jewels on the cheap after Pop dies? i assume that since he knows the stories behind them that those cars will be no bargain ! Still, I bet that was a drool fest....Dickson

He is definitely a car guy! He told me a story about taking a supercharged 66 Shelby out of the factory for a drive and blew away a new 427 Vette. He said that he was in front of him and slammed the next gear and the car went a little sideways...Must have been a sight to see!

Too cool. You're a lucky guy to get a tour like that...

Did you end up selling that welder? Dickson
