I've been looking at leaf springs lately and have noticed the Eaton Detroit springs are more expensive than Grab-a-trak. Are they worth it?
Are Grab-a-trak made from SAE5160 steel?

I haven't decided between doing steel rear springs or composite, but I have decided that I will use Eaton if I do steel. Do we know who actually makes the "Grab a Track" springs, or if they use one or more vendors?

I sent an email to Eaton a few months back asking about custom 2" lowering springs that wouldn't be too high in spring rate (I believe in stiff shocks, less stiff springs). I received a reply the very next day from Mickey at Eaton. He said they could build a set of standard rate springs with the 2" drop for $254 for the pair plus shipping.

I use grab a track on Red and am very happy with them. No experience with Eaton.
