OK, I know that the I6 tie rods ends are too small. I know there are adaptors for them. My question is why cant you install a granada tie rod end on the I6 tie rod??

My first guess is that they are different diameters. If so, cant they be re-threaded?

The 6-cyl Tie rod thread is 1/2-20 and the Granada / V8 thread is 11/16-18. We have turned down and rethreaded V8 tie rods to fit the 6-cyl sleeves for the Granada swap, but the geometry is not right. Adapter sleeves work, but it's still not the best geometry. The best way to do it is to change out the whole steering system with V8 components.
