Guess sooner or later one must use the paint they have laying around. I shot the trunk floor today, paint came out great except for a few dirt specks that got into it. I might sand and respray the clear at a later date but it will be covered with a trunk mat. Nothing terrible dirt-wise, more of an annoying factor. I also mangaged a run on the drivers side QP but half will be under the trunk filler board and the other will likely egt undercoating spritzed on it.
Anyway, making progress again.

I'll also have to go back and get a smaller touch-up type gun for under the package tray. My gun was too big to get under there, and it's where my hiding dirt shot out from :bitch:

Man, your trunk now looks better than my entire car!

I wish I had a place to shoot paint.

I bet that was a PITA to spray wasn't it ?
Yes, I still have to go back and shoot up inside the bottom of the package tray and upper quarters with a touch-up gun . The gun I used was too big to make it in the tight spaces. The quarters were a PITA because the fumes flew right back out , making it hard to see what was going on .

You paint with your eyes open? No wonder it turned out so good! I closed my eyes when I painted the trunk...

Yes, the bottom of the quarters are a pain to get to. I had my car up on the lift, so I could sneak inside the trunk (with the tank out) and shoot in some difficult areas. Nevertheless, I wasn't happy about some of the panels, but they are covered by mats and good enough for rust control. The visible panels turned out reasonably good.

None the less, it still looks great.

What's your VIN ? Just wondering how close to each other our cars might be. Of course if it's not a 64.5 then nevermind :)
sent you a pm

If this was the car you had a while ago, it is in quite different condition! Looks great. Don't you just love when you start with something so rough and it turns out like new? Good job!
