I have had my block bored .030 over and now do i need a .030 over head gasket? Its for a 390 if that helps. I have a standard size set sitting here and was wondering if I could use it or if i have to buy a new set. thanx

Standard or .030 over makes no difference. As long as it is the correct engine set you will be fine.

Just remember "front" is front no matter which side. The guy that rebuilt my Boss 302 put the right bank in backwards. UGHHHHH

IIRC, most head gaskets run about .150" over, so unless you bored it really big, you'll be fine...

Echo the comment on the front lettering going to the front, even if the gasket is upside down....caught myself about to make that mistake more than once over the years...*G*
