trying to figure out what kind of heads these are on the valve cover side on one head it has 1A14 or IAI4 and on the bottom it has D8OE on the other head it has 2HB under the valve cover and no casting numbers on the bottom side of it

I know enough to say they are 1978 heads but I don't know if they are 351 or 302 heads. You could measure the valves to find out if they are 351 or 302 heads.

what size should the valves be for the 351

according to the Tom Monroe SBF book, the heads D80E-AB are either 302 or 351W heads (same application) from 78-80, 1.78I, 1x45E valves. In other words, the same heads were used on 302 and 351 blocks. 69cc Chambers. I have a couple of sets also. uses Stamped Rocker arms.
